Located in the icy mountains of The Thousand, the temple at Myesteria is elegant and beautiful, but witnessed by few. The Journey to the temple is near impossible in Winter, and inhospitable at best in Summer. However, it is said that those favored by Bahamut are able to traverse the icy paths with mysterious safety. Anyone approaching the gates and seeking Bahamut’s grace and sanctuary is given safe lodging and healing, provided by the devoted and caring half-elves and “elves” who populate the site.
Governed in name by the incarnate half-elven Thea, but in reality by a counsel of elves serving as her advisors, the Temple is a peaceful place dedicated to healing, meditation, and knowledge. The population is said to eat little and meditate and read much. The occupants are supremely skilled healers, and keepers of ancient knowledge.
A peaceful people, the temple folk of Myestria seldom involve themselves in the conflicts or concerns of the rest of Argonnesson. However, the activity of Tiamat “she who must not be named” is closely monitored from the site. Ritualistic fighting styles designed to prey on her weaknesses are taught to well-suited supplicants. Historically, bands of Bahamut’s devoted servants have been called to venture forth from the Temple and oppose her misdeeds.
